these guys need to be in rock band. On the disc, downloadable, i dont care just please make it happen harmonix. Robert Halford recently recognized them as one of the better bands hes heard in a long time and they definitely deserve it. Heres my favorite song from them:
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xvU9SEBYzqg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xvU9SEBYzqg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN IN SOME FORM HARMONIX!!!
while Im throwing bands out The Human Abstract would be phenomenal. Id buy their entire album if it were put up as dlc. Same for the new Dethklok album coming out in September.

The 3 Inches of Blood song is from the album Advance and Vanquish. Which does not have a single bad song on it. The song itself is "deadly sinners". They just released a new album called "Fire up the blades" which is VERY good but not quite as good as the perfection that is Advance and Vanquish.
The Human Abstract is a bit different but their guitarist A.J. is one of the best Ive heard in a long time and Im sure if he keeps practicing and growing at this rate he will certainly be a guitar legend a decade or two from now. The album "Nocturne" by them (I believe its their debut album) is amazing. Its worth a download. I torrented them and I was on the fence and ended up buying their album within a day because I had to send them my money for doing such good work. Everyone in the band seems to be giving 110% and if you listen to that track again every instrument seems like it would be fun to play. Unfortunately vocals may keep this band out of the game.

yeah i liked the music. the guitarist is pretty good.
but its just the vocals.
if a band doesnt have the vocals that i like (wich isnt always just screaming, gruntin, and growling. their voice DOES matter to me) then i just cant get into it.
i actually really like coheed and cambria's guitar and actual music but the singer just throws me completely off.
unfortunately this guys voice is the same. i use this word alot, but i just kinda find it a bit... whiney... yep. whiney.
but 3 inches of blood is gr8. i love the old school metal scream.
im buying advance and vanquish ASAP. i gotta hear more. thanks!

Premonition of pain is my second favorite song. They really paint a good picture in your head with the lyrics while shredding and it plays out like an amazing movie.

3 Inches...is power metal. Saying they are "old vocals, newer metal"
actually makes no sense to me. New Priest? Man, Priest's torch was passed along time ago (to Ralph Scheepers, or maybe Kai Hansen)

w/e man my point is that they bare a lot of similarities to priest and older styles of singing.
its refreshing.

Well, then maybe its not an analogy...
I meant that 3 Inches may be doing what others like Hammerfall did 8 or 9 years ago (when I still wasnt a serious metalhead :( )
By the way, the song in the video, Deadly Sinners (which is one of the best Metal anthems ever), is a different version from the one in the album. The one in the album is a bit slower.

Umm Im not doubting you put the video up haha
Im saying that the version in the album, and the one in the video, are not the same. The one in the video is faster, and the vocals are just better. I hear the one in the video and I just dont want to listen to the album version. It just kicks its ass.

Dude, THATS singing. Whatever the emo idols you worship isnt singing. Thats being annoying.
fragpirate: wow, you really have an all out war against anything alternative haha I kinda fancy Coldplay....what? Its possible.
I cant stand most death metal. I think the only death metal vocals I like are Amon Amarth's. And recently, I kinda began giving Arch Enemy a chance.
And I cant stand hardcore vocals, which have NOTHING hardcore to them. 3 Inches would do well without them...but, I accept them even with that guy doing the background harcore vocals.

For the love of God kids... please expand your horizons. The world of metal doesn't revolve around 3 inches of blood, lamb of god, ect. These bands are just mainstreamed more so then some amazing talents that have yet to sell out.
I could name 1000x better bands that are no name and still could destroy any of these jokes bands on their pedestals like: As Hope Dies, August Burns Red, Between The Buried and Me (they are god aweful live but great recorded), Casey Jones, Curl Up and Die, Comeback Kid, Darkest Hour, Essex Downfall, FROM Grace (Highschoolers busting out solos better than 30 year olds who have been playing guitar for 10+ years) http://www.myspace.com/fromgrace, Hopesfall (their older breakdowns went on for days and were completely epic), Mirror|Mirror, At The Gates, The Haunted, Nightrage, The Crown, THE REFUSED, Syngaia, Zao, the list is endless.
Honestly, look into at leaste a few of these bands and realize Metal is more than being the same washed up garbage over and over. Darkest Hour has transcended the gap of new music with a great taste of older riffing and guitar work without sounding like the same work over the course of 6 albums.
You could probably type in myspace.com/bandname of anyone I listed and find them.

I dislike the type of singing in that song, so that means I like the style of singing found in "emo" bands?
Where does this logic come from?
I do not worship any "emo idols". You probably mean Pop Punk, which is one of the most trashy musical genres.

Yes, it IS trashy, because its trash.
Dude, the singer from 3 Inches is as Metal as you can get after Rob Halford, Kai Hansen and Ralph Scheepers. So if you dont like it....you dont like Metal. Simple.
Even if you were a die hard death metal freak you wouldnt deny Halford's deity status.

The bands I mention suck? hahahaha. The bands I mention actually strive for musical talent. The bands this thread is about look like they just play it to simply reap the rewards of being a band. I doubt their vocalist has ever trained a day in his life, and if he has, he needs his money back. They guitar work isn't any better and doesn't seem like anything but the same wish-wash all over again.
Metal is great, but you can't play the same thing over an over again. Honestly, listen to Darkest Hours new album because it blows them all away and will probably be under a lot of peoples "Best Albums of all time" list.
Until you guys wake up and really go seeking good music, you're probably not going to see my point.
EDIT: Also, I listed a lot of stuff Lingberg has done. If you don't know who he is, you might wanna look him up if you think you know METAL. rofl

You dont know **** about Metal. You just know death metal. Thats just one genre.
What all over again? Dude, are you ****ing metallically ******ed? What planet are you living in? Get off death Metal for a while and learn whats been going in Metal in general before you run your mouth saying bull****. And thats a mighty ironic thing to say, they play this "same thing over and over" (of which you seem to have no idea), when all you listen is death Metal. Talk about monotony. Not even black Metal is that monotone.
Like Army Soldier said Enemies of Metal, your Death is our Reward!
