I saw on the old forums how people were using their own foot pedal instead of this plastic thing they call a foot pedal. Mine broke once, and now the new one keeps missing hits now. If anyone can either give me some instructions on how to set up a real foot pedal or link me if I am missing this mod I would appreciate it.

We started setting up Rock Band in a local bar for fun on Monday nights. Last Monday afternoon, my footpedal broke and I had to scramble to get something working before "showtime". I dug around in my garage and found a wooden "fish scaler/filet board" that was 12 years old but nerver used. I used the old pedal for a template, cut it out, mounted everything and it works great. It's also grooved which prevent your foot from slipping. My RB pedal broke just ahead of the hinge at the bottom and also had a bunch of stress cracks in the middle. This new pedal doesn't miss a beat! I'll take some pics and upload later today.

Sounds cool and thanks for the reply. Also I have seen were others are actually using their own pedal and connecting the wires from the rb pedal and I think using the magnet too? I think this is what I am actually after as I have a bass pedal I want to use.

Yeah, I've seen that too. My friend is "real drummer" and wants to do the same. He has a lot of spare pedals so maybe that will be a weekend project for us. I was in Target Christmas eve when they received a new shipment of RB. They had two for xbox and about 20 for PS3 so I bought a spare set. I can play around with the wooden one I modded.

I just took some 16 gague metal I had laying around the garage, cut it to the shape of the peddle and made tabs on it that wrap around the sides of the peddle to hold it on. That way if I do need to RMA it for whatever reason I just bend the tabs back and take it off. No one will be the wiser.
