View Full Version : World Tour Advancement?
If Our Band only has two players (Drums and Guitar for now) does that make it harder to advance in the World tour then if we had a full band?
Should we (two band member) set up a full band then play song using multiple combinations, example:
1st time play Guitar and drums
2nd time play Bass and Sing
3rd time Sing and drums
etc.....
And suggestions?

You have to make one person the band leader, so chose the instrument that will be played the most. Note: The leader must always be in your band. DO NOT MAKE THE LEADER VOCALS!
In my band, the drummer is the leader. We switch instruments but someone is always on the drums. PS3=1 Guitar.

Thanks, make sense. What about points, do bands with more members get to rack up higher scores. Not sure how that works, we are just into our 1st couple of gigs trying to 5 star every song with Drums and guitar, seems to be going ok but was wondering if only having two members would impact our fans/points as we go further down the road.

You get more points when you play with more people, but the requirements to get 4 or 5 stars go up at the same time. So it doesn't help/hurt you to play with more/less people.
I don't believe the number of people in your band affects the fans in any way.

Maybe if you had two guitars you would have more options, but I think that if you only have 1 guitar, make the drummer the leader.
Drums seem to be easier than guitar on hard/expert, at least this is what I've found. And since I only have 1 guitar the drummer is the leader in my band.
But to answer your question of does having only two mates playing at a time make it harder to advance in the World tour, imo not at first, when you get to higher levels maybe, but I think you'll have other concerns. Like how to beat that damn song!!
RockOn!
thanks,
We will go with two players, not that we have any other options.
I'll just focus on my skills let the rest play out.
Great Game, finally got on-line last night, I get so caught up in watching the other players, you guys(gals) can play, wow. I like the fact you expert type will lets us medium/easy skilled types play right alone.

I remember the first time I played online.
I was playing bass and a guitarist and drummer joined me. I picked NIN - The Hand That Feeds.
Both of the other guys picked easy and I picked expert.
I was standing there laughing my a$$ off the whole time, wondering what the other guys were thinking. I think I ended up getting a higher % than both of them, lol.
Yea that was me, I wish there was a way to just watch a group of experts go at it, other then youtube type video.
Also while on-line picking songs is the hardest part, wish we could rank songs some how.
I tried the method of not selecting levels but I had one singer doing nothing. So I when back to get new song, same thing, when thru about 5 songs so I guess the person just left without quiting. Maybe we should scroll through the list up and down to say pick a new song.
