How do I get the Gold emblem from the Endless Setlist?

So, I did the E S but my bro and my mom were doing medium, so ofcourse we got that other icon instead of gold. I know understand that if one person is playing a lower difficulty it brings everyone else down, but I was curious as to what difficulty you have to do to get the gold? does it Have to be Expert? or does hard give it to you as well? thanks

lowest difficulty medium = silver icons
lowest difficulty hard = gold icons
lowest difficulty expert = platinum icons.
