To make the game more realistic they should have done two things.

1. Sell another bass pedal w/ an adapter to make an easy double bass set up.

2. The guitar should have an open note. This would be a sixth note that would not only make the guitar parts more accurate but would also make it more difficult.

Anyone feel me on this?

Or they could have sold real drum kits and real guitars and then included lessons instead of songs... that would have been much more realistic.

Dude, it's a game, who needs double bass for a game? Hell not that many drummers need double bass anyways... it's overrated.

They are fret buttons, not string buttons. Let me guess, you want expert bass to only use 4 buttons because they only have 4 string too huh?

You guys are probably just mad because you have no musical talent other than to play other peoples songs on rock band. What I'm suggesting that as a guitar player a open note with you hit the string trigger would be real nice when your playing songs like Lay this to Rest, or Blackened. It just makes more sense then having to hold down a button to hit an open string on real guitar. I know it is game but why not make it better.

As for the drums I just think a double bass would be neat.

/sigh

"Play a real instrument" arguements aside, I think that the 5 button guitar is good enough. It works, and if it's not broken, don't fix it.

But the double bass thing is weird. I tried it once, and if you keep one bass pedal down and try to use the other one, it won't register, so you'll have to play heel up with both legs. I honestly think one is just fine for most songs.

I think they should get 2 pedals too but NOT for double bass just for the snare thingy one on each side i dont know whats its called i forgot :/. Its the cymbal? I think it is . Its the thing with two cymbals like this:

Well since off the top of my head I can only think of about 5 songs in RB that use the hi-hat pedal I don't see why it would need to be implimented...

Problem, eh?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

All i know is that the Hit-Hat is the main part of the most basic and most used drum pattern there is. You can put the beat to any song and you'll notice it fits and you'll hear the hit-hat. it goes like this:

1 2 3 4

On 1 it's Hit-Hat and Bass pedal
On 2 its Hit-Hat
On 3 it's Hit-Hat and Snare
On 4 it's Hit-Hat

Do this pattenr in your head to any song and you'll notice its in almsot all of them except for fills. cross your arms and simulate your right hand hitting the hi-hat... obviously use your foot for bass and left hand for snare. Get the pattern down and then apply :) Let me know how it works

Also don't flame... All i know is that almost every song I think of it applies.

A second pedal will be easy once stand alone equipment is available, all it requires is the pedal and a standard splitter jack.

But I have been wanting an open note since GH1, I don't know why they never decided to put one in.
