Accessing Music Store through RB2 on PS3

While playing RB2 and I try to go to the Music Store through the game it starts to connect and the gives a message saying that I am unable to access the Store right now, and it's been doing that for at least the past 6 months.

I do have my PS3 hardwired to the cable modem and I can watch Netflix perfectly so my connection is not a problem. I am able to download songs via PSN but takes forever to browse through.

I recently bought Logo RB and the store through that game works fine, but still not in RB2.

What would the problem be?

I couldn't begin to guess, it's always happened to me too.

What I do is keep connecting, usualy the third or fourth try I stay connected.

Yeah. It happens to me periodically as well. I just have to keep retrying; sometimes I have to restart the PS3 altogether.

If that were the case I would imagine after 6 or 7 tries it would work at least once.

So it's not just me then. I assume this is a known problem, and thus should be reported, and maybe fixed in a patch? I usually tend to skip the rock band store altogether, but it has sorting and previews, which kinda makes it superior to the PSN.

Ditto for me. Except I'm able to connect... but then it just freezes and ****s up my system completely. Before the "update," everything worked fine.

I kind of get the same thing. I can get into the store just fine, but it ends up kicking me out every couple minutes.

Try reassigning your controller. The latest update seems to want to only use controller #1 to access the music store (except mine worked when I reassigned the controller to #3).
