My friend and I have recently started a metal band. We're fairly new to the whole song writing thing, so please bare with us. Our production is sub-par, yes we know. We do the best we can with what little we have.

I am in no means a metal head ( I listen to mostly pop-rock, alternative, etc.), but my friend Phil is a die hard ( Kreator, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Amorphis). I am partially influenced by Rock Band and it's the main reason for me getting into real drums. Both me and Phil are huge fans of Rock Band and play it frequently after jam sessions.

I sense much Megadeth in you, young padawan...

Particularly in "Midnight Approach" and "What Words Can't Explain", the guitar riffs (and sometimes the vocals too) remind me a lot of Rust In Peace-era Megadeth, which is definitely not a bad thing! It just struck me as funny, since you don't list them in your influences. :)

Definitely some promising stuff here. Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback! It's funny you mention Megadeth because that is one of Phil's most loved bands. I think they're pretty good too, but it's one of his all time favorites. Sorry for the production once again. I know it can get really hard to understand the lyrics sometimes. Thanks again!
