Why did I get 5 Gold Stars?

On Mississippi Queen I got 5 gold stars, gold stars means you 100% the song in previous guitar hero games, if this is still the case I didn't get my achievement?

Its because the game thinks you are just so awesome that it just had to give you a different rating then everyone else... jk

ive gotten plenty of gold stars without fc'ing. It just a score plateau, think of it as a 6th star.

Actually, the gold stars in this game are based on points.

To the best of my knowlege, you can only get them on Expert and it results from getting a certain amount of points (a sh*tload). You can miss the 100% and get the gold stars. And you can get 100% and miss the gold stars.

There is actually one song, I forget which, where it is mathmatically impossible to gold star, even if you get 100%.

Strategic use of Overdrive, and extreme accuracy get you gold stars.

No, that is definitely the way it works. One of the HMX guys was talking about it.

I've def got the Gold Stars with less than 100%. Vocals on "Welcome Home" was one of them. I had 97% accuracy but am on the leaderboard for points in the song.

FC means hitting 100% of the notes.

I think it stands for Full Completion. Something like that.

FC means Full Combo, it means you don't break your note streak once, because it is possible to get 100% without a FC! I've done it :(

Gold star threshold is 1.45x five star threshold for Expert difficulty. Exactly how close you have to be to perfect to get the gold stars varies with the song.
