Wouldn't it be awesome if you had a view from the stage perspective? I would love to have a view from right behind a drum set where you can see a sea of people cheering you on.
It will probably give me stage fright.

That could be interesting.... kind of like a POV where you can see your hands playing the instrument in front of you and look out to see the lights and the crowd, sure why not.

Rockband needs an optional, non-score player using the console controller, who is just there to run cameras, so he selects the camera, and controls it's Pan/Tilt/Zoom level... and when the song is over he can save it to a "Music Video" that strips the playing interface, and just shows your band playing that song, and overlays the vocal track with what your singer actually sung, so people can go back and watch it like a real music video :D

This view definitely exists. I'm pretty sure I've seen it on Green Grass and High Tides Forever.

Being as the audience is about 8 crowd members repeated over and over, I wouldn't want to stay on that angle too long. Although for a moment, not bad.

This is what I was thinking. Instead of an FPS, it's an FPR! "First Person Rocker". It would be pretty cool to be looking down at the guitar, or the mic in your hand, or the sticks and drums in front of you.
That view you're talking about JB4GDI, it's a view from above, but more like a person standing in front of the guitarist looking down. It's from the opposite side, not the guitarist looking down.

For all the time Harmonix has spent trying to create a detailed "Create a Rocker", I doubt they would want the game to be in 1st-person perspective where you can't see actually see the character you're playing with.
A replay "music video" option would be nice, though since when I play, I'm never looking at the visuals/graphics. (which are awesome)

I had a similar idea but that controller would adjust all the sound levels for all instruments (so... sound tech) and also be light coordinator/ pyrotechnics.
While some more "looking into the crowd shots" are cool, whoever said it would be ugly is on to something. Rendering a crowd in high detail is not an option so you'd start to see the straw so to speak if you were in that view for more than 5-10 seconds at a stretch.
