Hello,

Recently I ordered the Ion Drum Rocker for the ps3, along with an extra cymbal and rock pedal. Nevertheless, I've been looking up info on the "bubbling"/ air pocket issue. I've seen that this problem can be solved by opening up the pad, placing a rb silencer or something of the sort and closing it back up. The only thing I'm worried about is if I'm gonna mess any wiring up and the whole thing just won't work anymore.

So the question? Is this a common issue? I know it happens to some people but does it happen to the majority? Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

If it does happen, I'll try and fix it but I just hope it doesn't have to come to that.

Thanks.

Hi Visions.
How did your neck graft work out?
The guys over at Doc's can help you out with this as well.

I haven't heard of it happening to the ION's.

It can happen to the Rock Band kits though. The fix isn't overly difficult if it does happen though.

Yes it will most likely happen to you. I have Ions and it has happened to me. I got mine from Rockbandparts.com (http://rockbandparts.com/) and they have the 5 year warranty but he doesn't cover that cause he said if he did that he would be out of business. Basically the pads are like tires, they get worn out and stretched after awhile, and you have to buy replacements, which truthfully aren't that cheap. I just deal with mine though cause I have other stuff i need the money for.
