xbox 360 freezes

We were able to play the game about 45 minutes right out of the box, but shortly after the xbox 360 freezes. No ring of death, just freezes. After shutting off for about 10 minutes, we're still able to get about 30 minutes of game, then it freezes again.

Is this an xbox problem or game problem? Any suggestions?
