1. You get songs from Xbox live/ PS store via downloads which Harmonix are hoping to add on a weekly basis they are the ones you can add to the game you cant just take any MP3 and make it a song for the game as all the notes for the controllers etc have to be made.

2. Yes if you form a band with your mates you can design the band logo and how your characters look.. not sure about guitars as we haven't seen any options for them yet but i'm sure there will be some.

3. Not any that we are aware of but i doubt it .. Rock band is about forming your own band not being part of ones already in existence.

I think Terranova answered most of your questions pretty well there.

The one thing I would add is that I guess you can call your band whatever you like, so if you start a band called U2 then you can be in it. Although I am not sure how band names will work as on XBox you always play under your gamer tag.
