Okay, I thought Paul McCartney would be too obvious for a voice and they must be pulling a South Park (speeding up Sir Paul's voice in order to sound different) but now I'm surprised with how it worked out.

Was Shrek his first name or his last name?

I watched both trailers and chuckled a couple times, but it feels like rehash from the plots of the other movies.
Despite taglines, this won't be the last film. And it's for that reason that I'm just tired of Shrek anything.

I guess technically they can say this is the "final" one storywise if they make a prequel next.

(Skip if it was implied that that wasn't Macca.)
Paul doesn't do the main antagonist it was just a strong rumor that he would do it. They instead decided to go with the pre-voice reader because they liked what he added to the character.
There's still a possibility that he's doing a smaller part in the movie though.

i heard he starts a band in this one and grows his hair out. i wonder if theyll release the songs from the movie as DLC... if not maybe theyll get on the RBN?

but but but..... you make things that make money. and shrek keeps making money. how much did shrek 3 make again?
budget: $160M ..... gross revenue: $798M. the numbers speak for themselves, regardless of quality content. thats not hollywoods dilemma anymore.

I've lost interest in Shrek since the second one, the third was rushed to ensure that people were still into the series.
I feel sorry for Dreamworks, they've only had very few good movies, and those are the ones that spawned sequels which ruined the franchises.
