View Full Version : What is YOUR worst phobia?

SynesterSeX

I thought it would be pretty kewl to start a phobia thread. So if anyone wants to share their phobia, we're listening.

I know it might be embarassing or whatever, so if you are not comfortable, do not post. Guess i will start off..

My biggest phobia would probably be....hmm...ehh those big black cockroaches. If it isnt that, then it's tied between that and Potato Bugs.....

I do not think I really have any phobias, I am a well adjusted dinosaur.

Edit: Well I do think porcelain dolls are a little creepy but I don't think 'tis bad enough to really be a phobia, I mean I can be in the same room with them and such.

No phobias here, unless you count bananas.

But if you're afraid of bananas, then how do you make calls on the banana phone?!

I'm terrified of spiders. I'm always afraid they're going to jump in my hair, and I have far too much hair for that to end well.

Also not a fan of clowns.

Wolfbeckett
03-18-2010, 12:04 PM
Oh man one of my cousins is so afraid of clowns that if she even sees one on TV she will start having fits. 'Tis pretty sad for her but also funny in a schadenfreude kind of way.

I am afraid of bees in general (yellow jackets were the exact cause). I have nightmares about these things coming to sting me, I wake up swatting in the air and freaking out that there's one on the bed. It's bad, I'll admit it.

I'm afraid of dark closed enviornments. Well, I'm not afraid of the dark itself, but when it's dark with little noise, I start to think of all that makes me paranoid. Like Giygas (DON'T look him up, you'll be scared s**tless), Gravemind from Halo 3, or, worst of all, a maniac in a speedo. I'm serious.

Feeding it crickets is one of the bonuses of iguana ownership. Crickets are disgusting creatures which deserve to be eaten, helping them to their demise is a matter of civic pride.

I think a lot of that stems from being "taught" that bugs should be scary as a kid. Like snakes and stranger danger.

That would be a common reason, but then again not everyone has this same issue.

As a kid, i remember waking up one early morning to go to the bathroom just to see my dad trying to find a way to get rid of a Potato Bug clawed on to his jeans. The ooze and wetness it left on his jeans was unbearable...ugh you have no idea. *shivers*

Anyways, from that point on i became frightened of it, fearing it would end up on my jeans. I still have that fear, as well as fear of the bug itself.

Ahh yes, i wanted to start a thread about this topic earlier, but i found people would just turn it into a flame war on whos right and wrong. Though i dont believe the world is gonna end on December, 21st, 2012, I do believe Polar Shift will occur. If this is the case, then you're right...we're pretty much 'dead meat'. It all depends on how fast it goes as well, so pray it goes rather slowly.

Two things:
1.) thanks for catching my typo earlier (December 21, not 12)
