View Full Version : Recieved Wrong Replacement Guitar

So the whammy bar broke last Friday on my PS3 wireless guitar. Requested express replacement option, and the replacement guitar arrived yesterday. However I was sent an Xbox 360 wired controller (packing slip said it was supposed to be a PS3 controller). It's been 24 hours and I haven't received any response from Customer Support as to what I'm supposed to do with this 360 controller.

Should I just send it back and file another replacement request?

Will I be charged for not sending back a broken PS3 guitar? I can just see getting charged because I sent back a brand new 360 guitar, instead of my broken PS3 guitar.

i would just send it back and restart the process again if you dont want to deal with support over the phone. just make sure you take pictures to document that you were sent the wrong one and it might make sense to also leave a note in the box written in big letters that you were mailed an xbox guitar instead of a ps3 one so please send me the right one.

Well EA finally responded to my Customer Support request, but only after I updated the RMA notice. Apparently this removes it from the system and forces someone to manually update it.

Unfortunatly he didn't bother to read my question, just copy pasted a generic statement saying please don't do this again but for the time being tell us what issue you are having (despite the fact that I said what my issue was both in my first customer service request and in the update I wrote on the RMA notice.) Responded again with the fact that I received a 360 guitar instead of a PS3 guitar. That was 8 hours ago. Still no response.

I think I'm just going to send it back with a note written in nice big letters that I received the wrong version of the guitar.
