Backup singers?

I was wondering if anyone has tried having backup singers for Detroit Rock City and similar songs where the bands actually do use backup singers.

If so, how would be the best way to go about hooking everything up? Perhaps a usb splitter/hub hooked with both mics plugged into that? Or a normal xbox headset hooked into the guitar?

Has anyone tried this yet?

The headset mics don't work with the guitar. And another hub won't work to split two mics. Would probably have to splice the wires together
