OK. My Cousin bought rock band 2 for me while he was in america (i live in Australia.) - I tried downloading a few songs, found out you need to have a PSN account with the same region as where the game came from (apparently PS3 is NOT Region-free, i guess.)

So biting the bullet, i went to register a new PSN id and say i was in america so that i could at least download and play the songs i wanted to. Na-huh, it's required that any new PSN accounts are in the same region as the master account. Region free my ass.

So basically, i can't see any way out of this. Does anybody know any solves?

region free means playing games and other stuff ARE region free.

DLC IS NOT REGION FREE!!!! (sorry but thats for emphasis)

no you need a US PSN account for the US RB2

I already worked this out. I want to know if there's any way i can register a US PSN account - my PS3 won't let me.

If i bought Rock Band 1 from Australia, the songs would appear there - will the export key export Australian songs to an american game, and does it work on DLC? This is the only way i can work out to get around it.

no. an AUS RB1 export will go to an AUS RB2 (also you cant buy the export key from the US PSN store). similarily a US RB1 is needed for your US RB2

There are no AUS RB2 games, Harmonix doesn't sell RB2 in Australia, this is why i got my cousin to buy it in America.
