ok how much is it too purchase micrsoft points so i can buy songs for this game and do i need a gold subscription to play online and if so do i need 1 to download songs

u need an gold subscription to play live. each song is around 100 points by its self, packs are bout 440 n i dont know the price for albums yet. my guess around 800 to highest 1000 microsoft points. Three of the songs are 80 points or so each

Points cost anywhere from$6.25 to $25, basically 80 points equals $1

i believe that you only need a silver account to download, and can play them offline...gold if you want online play.

It costs something like $6.25 for 500 points up to $20 for 1600 points. There's a pack in the middle that I'm forgetting, 1000 points, I think.

You don't NEED the DLC to play online, but you will need a gold account. A silver account (the free one) will give you the access to log in and buy the songs, but you're going to need a gold account (the pay one) if you want to play with other people.

Having the DLC opens more online games up to you but I presently don't have any of the DLC and it hasn't stopped me.

The songs are 160 points and this weeks are 80 points. Yes you can DL them with Silver but need Gold for online play.
