I haven't been able to get this thing to work with my xbox360 at all.

I've tried using all USB ports on the 360 and none of them will allow the instruments plugged into the USB hub to work or register on the 360. The green light does come on when the 360 is on though so I know it's getting power and I tried the USB hub out on my home computer and it works fine with that.

Also, I figured that I'd go and get a different USB hub at the store and try it out and that one also won't work with my xbox 360 but works with my computer just fine.

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong and why I can't get it working? Is there a certain port you have to use or a certain way you have to set it up?

i had the same problem...turned out the adapter came unplugged...and I've found that sometimes you need to have everything plugged in before you turn on the 360.

you may have gotten a bad adapter or hub too.

the hub was created for Rock Band and as far as I know you can't use another hub...

double check the connections, especially the hub adapter, plug in all the instruments, then power on the 360...if that doesn't work, i'd say you have a faulty hub or adapter.

nope.

wrong.

It's just a normal powered USB hub and a cheap one at that. Nothing special about it at all. Any powered USB hub will work.

I am having the same problem. When i plug a controller (guitar, drugs, etc.) the xbox guide button comes on for a split second and then goes off. I also tried using a different usb hub that works with my computer (the instruction book says any usb hub will work, so that answers that) and still no luck. I have put in a request for a new hub. What is rediculous is that for the express shipping you are risking a $125 charge if you do not return your hub or if you have problems getting or returning the equipment (which seems to be all too common from some of the posts on here). This amount might make sense for returning a guitar or drums, but a cheap usb hub is rediculous.

if you plug your hub into the back usb plug-in where your wireless connection might be it should work at least it worked for me and plug your wireless connection into the front if you have one (360 off) if it doesnt then you probally have a faulty hub

I called in about my USB hub last week and I got it today. The guy on the phone never asked me if I wanted the express or standard method of RMA and never asked me for my credit card. The USB hub I got today didn't come with any prepaid labels either so I guess I got a second free USB hub. Crappy thing is that it works exactly the same as my other one. It works perfectly fine until you turn the xbox off and then turn it on again with the hub plugged in. I always have to unplug and plug back in the hub after I turn the xbox on or before I turn it on for it to work. I guess that is how it is supposed to work then even though the guy on the phone told me it was defective. Maybe I got a second defective hub. :(
