It was my first time driving today. My father pretty much taught me the basics and all and I actually had a good time. I got somethings down good but others it took me a little bit to get use to. Either way I had fun. =)

I love driving. It's so fun when you get the feel of it.

Oh my God my first time driving.
It was just up and down the dirt road at my house... it went something like
"OH MY GOD I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING WHY IS IT MOVING?!" "OH MY GOD IT'S GOING TOO FAST" etc.
After a little bit, moved from that to learning the basics at my old Middle School, which has a good secluded area from that. Then went to real on road stuff starting at a mobile home park a town over. This was good as it was real road conditions - roads, intersections, speed limits, etc., without having anyone else on the road (give or take the occasional car)
And from there... time on real roads, I'm getting good now. Once you get the feel for it, it's a blast. Good luck.

My first time driving my friend threw me into his sh*tty manual 1998 Honda Civic in an empty parking lot back when I was 15 or 16 (can't remember for sure). I got the hang of it pretty fast and the night ended with us trying to do doughnuts and then the cops came and we jetted. Ah, good ol' days. You can get away with anything when you're young, I can't get away with anything anymore.

My first time driving. I was sitting in the drivers seat of the truck. I said "Can I drive this?" Sure, it wasn't all that far, but I loved it. I love driving. It's my favorite thing.

Driving sucks. I hate driving. I drive 30 minutes to work. I drive 30 minutes back to home. I drive here. I drive there. I drive every ****ing where.

I would enjoy driving a lot more if it weren't for all of the idiot drivers out there.

I dont have a driver license, and i've drived one time, and i really suck at it. I don't get it, when people tell how to drive, so i'll pass and just wait a few years till i'll try again

Good luck to you. The #1 tip I always give new drivers is to stay humble.
Because at the core, most accidents involve overconfidence in one's abilities... thinking you can drive too fast, text while driving, drive well in snow/rain/ice/darkness, and so on.

I'm so terrified of driving I don't even go anymore. Parents ask, I answer no.

I think texting while driving should result in having your license suspended.

I can text without looking, because I know my phone enough to feel where the buttons are and which one is which.

My sister recently got her learners permit and maaaaan driving does not come naturally to her. She struggles to turn a simple corner (bend in the road or an intersection). I've never heard of anyone being that bad.

I know someone who managed to turn the car sideways while attempting to back out of the garage...

My sister got half way to doing that (45 degree angle, stuck between poles) and it was in MY car. My mum had to come wake me up so I could go and re-allign it.

I 100% agree.
I also say people over 65 years old should have to retake their driving test every 5 years because I've seen some really old people on the road that look like they have no reflexes at all. That's just scary for me.

i don't like driving, because everytime i do drive, i just think of how possible it is for some idiot to crash into me and either injure me, injure the car, or kill me.

I had a learner's permit, but it's expired since I came to University. There's great Public Transit in Charlotte though, so it's not urgent that I get my license.

I learned to drive by buying a car at age 15. Driving school was horrible and my mother never felt like teaching me.
