Ps3 = Ps2?

Everywhere I look online it shows the individual instruments out for the 360 and PS3 only. I don't see any for the PS2. I was thinking that maybe the instruments for the PS3 would work for the PS2, because of the USB ports it has. I want the drums when they come out, so if I bought them for the PS3, do you think it would work for the PS2 if I plugged it into the USB port it has? Sorry if that was confusing, first timer.

Actually, individual instruments are not available for any system yet.

Yeah, I'm guessing that when they release the individual controllers for the 360 and PS3, they will also release them for PS2.

And eBay's always an option. =P

It really sucks that we can't get 2nd guitars or individual instruments right away, but I guess that's just supply and demand.

I feel the most for PS3 owners who bought the game only, no bundle, can't play at all until the guitars are available.

People were buying PS3 bundles and PS2 stand alone games, so apparently the PS3 instruments work for PS2.

I was lucky and found the PS2 bundle on 12/21, just in time for Christmas. And our GH3 guitar works flawlessly on rockband.

Kinda didn't answer my question too much. If I buy the PS 3 drums WHEN THEY COME OUT, would they probably work with my PS 2? They come out in February 4th I think. Thanks

ALL PS3 instruments work on the PS2 as i am currently using them on my ps2.
