Only those of us that have HMX in their username do. The rest of us, like myself, have other jobs and moderating is a weird kind of hobby, or at least something to do to take our mind off of our actual work for a bit.

No, although there is sometimes a sense of satisfaction when somebody really, really deserved it (bigoted comments, blatant flaming/trolling, etc).

i used to moderate over at another forum a few years back. The hardest part for me was trying to figure if it was indeed over the line or not and if banning/delete/closing was the appropriate decision of the matter. Else then that, i was like everyone else, posted my opinion without stepping on toes (you can't act like you are above anyone else when you are a mod) and just met some ok people. I've since left that community due to conflicts and the such, i tried to go back there anonymously without creating a stir, and got called out and just flat out blasted, haven't returned since. The interwebs can be fun, i left this place for awhile (did not make any dramatic posting or anything) came back, but try to avoid the ultimate setlist section as much as i can, that's my thing.

I guess I've done some unofficial PR type stuff, putting on RB shows at a few big events around Australia. It's not like HMX paid me or anything but I had their permission and they sent me a sweet swag with new equipment for the expo/convention attendees to use plus some prizes (ranging from stickers/buttons to shirts to copies of games and guitars).
