I know a lot of you are huge Dream Theater fans. I'm helping with the music selection for a conference that has a "dream" theme, and I wonder if any DT songs might fit.

Do they have any songs that would be suitable for a professional conference? Anything that could be played on a top-40 or contemporary adult radio channel? You know, not too heavy, no offensive lyrics, etc.

I don't care about the "dream theme" for the song since the band has it in their title. I like their music, but I'm not very familiar with their song catalog.

Just because they have Dream in the name does not mean their songs are about dreams.

Most of the stuff off of "Falling Into Infinity" has a more mainstream sound, in particular I would point out the songs Peruvian Skies and Hollow Years off of that particular album.

Other songs that might work:

From Images and Words - Wait for Sleep, Metropolis Pt. 1
From Octavarium - The Answer Lies Within, I Walk Beside You
From Black Clouds and Silver Linings - Wither, A Rite Of Passage

The one song that comes to my mind is "Another Day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm7ntyycGbU)"~ and probably a bunch of songs from Falling into Infinity~

These are all softer and more ballad-like and I guess they fit your description.

These are great songs, thanks.

I'm leaning towards I Walk Beside You or Another Day at this point. They would all be appropriate, but those two seem to have most applicable message.

They don't have to be about dreams. The band title is what got me thinking about their songs.
