Newbie to RB but where are my DLC's PS3

Hi There,

Ok after a few days of googling and still not finding the answer I thought maybe you guys and gals might be able to help me. I bought Rock Band from ebay, it had been used but is in mint condition. After a few days I thought I would buy an additional song pack from PSN store, they downloaded great via my wifi connection. The song pack is showing in my saved games data, though everytime I load RB they can't be found. I have tried everything, I thought there was a option for solo play that shows my paid for content, but there is no option at all. Just solo play and solo tour. I have deleted my downloaded pack about 10 times and downloaded it again from my purchase history on PS3 though RB is still not picking up this song pack. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

You have to install the songs to the harddrive. You do this by selecting the song icon under Game on the XMB. After you do this it should be available in game.

Also check if the game and the DLC are both from the same region. (US or Europe). US DLC doesn't work with a European copy of the game and vice versa.

Thank you for the two replies, unfortunately it still not working. The disc I have of RB is region 2 which is Europe. Me is UK based. The PS3 is also a UK version. There is a icon in the game data utility for my purchase but when I press the green triangle options button it is only displaying two options which are delete and information. Everytime I download the song pack it would appear to be installing it after the download is complete. When I am in the RB game there is no option to view my downloaded songs. Promise to buy a beer for anyone who can help me :0)

So you don't see the song when you go into Quickplay -> Local? That's weird.

Just to be sure, your PSN account also needs to be a UK account, not a US account. If you bought your songs from the US store, it won't work with your UK version.

I'm experiencing similar issues. I have Rock Band 2 and I am definitely online and can access Playstation Store etc. I tried to import the Song Pack 2 disc. I've downloaded this, and installed it, however none of the tracks are listed in my song list in Rock Band 2. Also, when I try to access the Music Store, I get an error message saying parental controls might be the problem, however all my parental controls are at 'Off'.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Yes I still ain't resolved my original missing DLC problem. "So you don't see the song when you go into Quickplay -> Local?" this option ain't there, when I select quickplay there is no "local" selection. The songs I purchased was definately from the UK store as the prices are in pounds. The version of Rockband I am using is V1.07. Another interesting issue is that when I sign on to the music store via game. All the songs and song packs are listed though they all have "purchased" beside them which I think is really bizarre. Anybody's help or further information would be greatly appreciated.
