Law & Order : Criminal Intent Season 9 Discussion

Does anyone here watch Law & Order : Criminal Intent?

Well, the ninth season is coming next tuesday and I want to know, am I the only one that's excited to see it?

Although I like CI far more than I like the original series at this point, I'm not enough of a fan to make it required watching. Maybe someday on Netflix streaming.

Ever since they split the show into two character arcs with the new set of lead detectives that I couldn't stand, I lost interest. Still love SVU though.

What I was referring to, from Wikipedia:


Unlike the other shows in the Law & Order franchise, during Seasons 5-8, Criminal Intent episodes typically alternated between two teams of detectives

And now I'm just seeing that Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are leaving the show completely after the Season 9 premiere. :(

Maybe I will watch the first episode then to give the show a proper send-off in my mind.

Getting rid of those two makes as much sense as when X-Files got rid of Mulder and Scully. Also, I obviously don't follow the various L&O series that closely, based on that Wiki entry.
