Im thinking about buying Rock Band for the PS2 cuz i dont have the money for a PS3 or Xbox 360 and was wondering if it had all the same features like create a character and create a guitar i kno you can download songs idc about that. and i heard that it doesnt show a band when playing and that you can only play solo guitar or bass but not solo vocals or solo drums. can someone tell me if its true and wether or not i should buy it. plz help:)

No you definitly should NOT. Ive heard many stories and i beleive they are true.

No create a character.
No BTW its just a list of songs like GH
No Online
No Shops
No DLC!!!

Its STRIPPED alot. Even more than thoose. I reccomend you wait until you can get a 360 or PS3 and get thoose versions. By the way, 360 is probally your best bet, cause PS3 dosnt support voice chat.

We have the PS2 version and my kids are more then happy with it. I told them before they played that it was missing some content, but they were not bothered by it at all. I suppose if you want it with those items, then wait, but if you want to have fun anyway, buy now.

The PS2 version does not have the character creation feature. The band world tour is just a set list of songs, not different venues as in the other versions. You can play any instrument on solo, including vocals.

If you like the game because you can rock out with friends, buy it. If one of the draws is the character creation and the BWT with different venues, you may be disappointed. But, the PS2 and PS3 controllers are the same, so if you upgrade to a PS3 down the line (as I am seriously considering because I really like the character creation feature), then you just have to buy the game disc instead of the entire bundle.
