Yes it will explode and burn you street down
No, obviously not, objects don't spontaneously explode
It depends how long it takes you.
A couple hours? Should be fine
6+ hours, NOT fine, turn it off, your fault for playing it without being able to pass songs

One piece of advice - and this is not an April Fool's..

Consider a cooling fan - esp one that still draws USB power when the Wii is in standby/WiiConnect24 mode. Whether on or in standby mode, Wii's wi-fi section remains active. This tends to get a bit warm & is parked right next door to it's video processor. It's a long held theory that the heat from the wi-fi circuitry can eventually cook the video chip. This leads to the random colored pixels that can appear on some Wii games.

Smash Bros Brawl
NSMBW
RE IV
Call of Duty W@W & Modern Warfare
Madden 9 & 10

....are just a few that I can think of that can suffer from this. Not game killing, but it can be distrracting. Never heard of anyone seeing them pop up in RB, though.

If you can live w/o your Wii getting it's various updates & whatnot until the next time you fire it up, turn off WiiConnect24. The power light will go red when you shut down - wi-fi is off. If you must stay connected, a USB cooling fan is a good move - again, make sure it stays on when the Wii is in standby - some Wii fans/cooling stations do not.

AFAIK, the Wii's wi-fi is still active & potentially getting things a bit warmer inside if using a wired connection w/ the USB LAN adaptor.
