hey...

when i try to link my gamertag to the rockband page it shows a message sayin that "this gamertag dont contain rock band info" or somethin like that so i don't know what's wrong ...

plz help!!!!:(

I'm having the same problem. Have tried with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari (the latter two on OS X) and to no luck. I would really appreciate some help on this matter.

And don't tell me "Make sure you followed the instructions" because trust me, I have gone through this procedure enough times to count one attempt for every letter on that page.

try going into you microsoft live account and you have to go to the upper right hand side of the screen and physically sign out. it doesn't do it for you.

I have done that, and also cleared all of my cookies/passwords/ect. I've also tried it on multiple computers. So I don't know what the problem is.

Same here. I tried a few times last night after playing the game for hours. I even closed out of the game and went back to the dashboard just to make sure. I'm going to give it another shot when I get home from work today and see if restarting the 360 will help. Maybe this feature isn't working right just like the way the Guitar Hero III site was broken for a while. :(

Hmm well....what i did was no even have my xbox on i had it turned off, then went to the microsoft live site and signed out then came back and followed the link on the rock band site to link it and it worked for me. i had trouble too doing it but the problem was solved when i turned off the xbox and signed out of my live account.

Have you played BWT mode? or just single mode?...my account would not link until I went to BWT and made a band...didnt have anyone over to actually play it so I made a Band, Backed out to title screen and my account linked right away...hope this helps!:)

My Xbox is off, the live account is signed out on the computer, and all cookies were deleted.

It still won't link.

And yes, I have played BWT, played online, played solo world tour, quick play, practice mode, i've pretty much done everything. I've even seen it say it was contacting the Rock central server. It also told me that two of the three band names I had made in BWT were taken already and would not be displayed. So the game has definitely made contact with the mothership on more than on occasion.

+1. I also cannot link, after following the instructions. Also, looking at the leaderboards from my 360 I see myself at #10 for solo drums on blackened, but looking at the leaderboard website, I'm not there. Maybe the xbox data isn't making up to the EA web servers so it doesn't know I've played?

I think we can chalk this one up to Xbox Live itself, it's been wonky the past couple of days. I'm having the same problem, but I'm gonna try again in a few days.

I got mine to work this morning. I usually use Firefox as my browser but decided to give it a shot with Safari. I had also taken the advice of the person above and had not logged into Live while I was trying to link it. 1.I opened up the Community site in Safari and logged in. 2. I logged into XBOX Live with no game in the drive. 3. I took all the necessary steps to listed to link my account (logging out of my Live ID wasn't necessary since I was using a different browser ). The link worked and my profile has been updating ever since. Give it a go and post back here if it works.

P.S. I am on a Mac so that is why my browser choices were Safari and Firefox. Windows users should try IE, Firefox, Opera, or Safari for Windows. I shouldn't have to say this but I just figured I would run pre-damage control.

Update - I checked 2 days ago and I finally showed up on the leaderboards on the web site. Once I saw that, I was able to link. So, it does seem to have to do with the rock band xbox live data making it to the web sql database.
