no instructions in box

ahh, i got the box to return my controller in (i chose the longer method) like last week. i realized today that no instructions came with it (i didn't know instructions were supposed to come with it in the first place) there were a few papers in the little ziploc bag attached on the front of the box but i wasn't really sure what they were. i just figured i'd put my guitar in, switch the papers so that the address of EA (or whatever) is on the front and sent it away. was i supposed to do anything else? thanks in advance!
