I have been a large player of rock band /guitar hero /FOF for a long time but (and try not to laugh) i am stuck with a ps2( for noobs that means : no downloads,ultra cool characters or badass instruments) so dose any one have tips on convincing my mom to get me a better system

Make some kind of deal with them. Ask them what you would have to do. And if it's unreasonable, negotiate.
