So I buy the game (for xbox 360) on the 24th and start playing on easy to unlock as many songs as I can before our new years eve party (which is one of the reasons I decided to plunk down the $170 bones for this game....to play when a bunch of my band friends get together on new years eve) I go to play this morning and now the guitar strummer works intermittenly. I checked out the customer support website and call the number (not an 800 number mind you) and the recording says that they can charge my credit card $125 and ship me a new guitar 2 day shipping and when I return the broken one they will credit back my card. It's still not gonna get here before new years eve. F*&%! I take a stab in the dark and call the place where I purchased it (the only place in town that I know of that even has it in stock) and the dude says to pack everything up and as long as I still have the box and everything that I can exchange it all there. OK, so I pack everything up and get back to the store, thinking all the way there that somehow once I get there, they won't exchange it since it says NOT to return faulty peripherals to the retail store. I get there and all goes well and I get a new one. (as I am leaving though, the guy tells me that his boss yelled at him because he wasn't supposed to exhanged those there, but since he told me he would then he went ahead and did it any way... so thanks to Gamestop dude for your efforts) ANYHOO... I get home and plug everything in to give it all a test run and I'LL BE DAMNED IF THE GUITAR STRUMMER DOESN'T WORK ON THIS WELL EITHER!!!! It only picks up about every other note when you are strumming it. Does anyone know of anything that I can do as a quick fix to just get through the news years party with a WORKING guitar? I do not have GH or any other guitar controller and am pretty furious at Harmonix, or whoever makes this game for having such a crap controller!:mad::mad::confused:
