Hi guys, bought my copy of rock band in august and everything was fine until about january when my drums decided to go haywire. The kick pedal doesn't work at all and when I hit the yellow cymbal it activates the orange as well. Is there a way to correct this?
Oh I should mention its the rock band 2 set.

There's no orange cymbal on a Rock band Drum set
If you mean Orange Kick Pedal, then you should search up because other people have had problems like this before

Well dude, I did say Orange Kick pedal
And its not an Orange, its a kick, you should of said the yellow activates the kick/bass pedal

Wow, surprisingly enough, I have the same exact problem. It's actually a lot more confusing than what Tyler described. What I've managed to figure out is that hitting the yellow pad activates both the pad and the bass pedal, unless you hold down the bass pedal, in which case hitting the yellow pad only activates itself. Hitting the bass pedal doesn't do anything by itself. Also, if you instead hit the Y (yellow) button directly, the yellow pad activates when the button is pushed, and the bass activates when the button is let go. I'm guessing this is what's really going on when I hit the yellow pad, except on a shorter timescale. Basically, there's some crazy mismatched wiring issues or something going on. The one thing that I can think of that might have caused the problem is the fact that very recently before the problem started, I tried getting a Rock Band double bass splitter to work on my drum set (to no avail). Maybe the splitter somehow affected the behavior of the drum set? Any help on this issue would be great, it's definitely one of the strangest bugs I've ever encountered.

I had this problem before. I never actually fixed it but you can tape the down button on the dpad and it will work fine for a while. Eventually it might start just randomly kicking. It lasted about a month for me.
