Wii Newby can't see lyrics

New game, can see the lyrics in the tutorial section, but when playing in either story or free play mode cannot see the lyrics...

Is this a setting issue? or just me

Now bear with me here, because I don't want this to seem like a stupid question, but are you playing vocals?

In the game, you can only see the lyrics when you are singing.

They don't scroll when you are playing guitar/bass or drums.

IF you are singing and the lyrics still don't show up, make sure you don't have a 'cheat' or game modifier on in the options that removes the game charts(can't think of the name of the cheat off the top of my head).

Hmmmm...I'm not sure what the problem is then. I'm on the 360 so I don't know if the Wii has different options gameplay wise.

Hopefully a fellow Wii owner can pop in here and give you a hand :)

Not a Wii owner but: Are you sure you can see the entire game display on your screen? If your in-game screen is set larger than your TV screen, then your solo-vocals lyrics are being cut off by the bottom of the TV.

It's called performance mode in the options. It turns off the guitar/drum notes, and I'm guessing it turns off lyrics too. Make sure you didn't turn that on by accident, it's not really a "cheat", it's right in the options there.
