So, my friend bought IONs, and they were pretty flawless. But there was one, HUGE problem -

The pads started missing like crazy when we hit two pads at the same time rapidly (think about Visions and Embedded, for example).

It's not our skill, because we did it in freestyle mode with no pedal, and it just doesn't work when you do that kind of beats.

It's not the pads fault, because they were awesome, the problems began the moment we started to hit them at the same time quickly. Could this be a wiring problem in the brain? I'm 99% sure it's the brain.

What happens when you play a slower song that require multiple pads on a single beat? Does it still miss? What about the kick pedal? Are you confident you are not missing the kick drum beat instead of the pads? The songs you mentioned are insanely difficult and require a large amount of skill to perform correctly.

Even while beating the pads without the pedal makes notes miss, FREESTYLE MODE. I just named those songs so you would get a picture what kind of beats i mean.

And I know what I'm doing because I've been playing real drums for 2,5 years, I play in a grindcore band and I've been playing expert in RB since it came out. If you play it slower it usually hits the notes but when you go a bit faster it starts missing on either pad. Just doing one pad a time doesn't miss, but simultaneously done, they pad miss.

How long ago did he buy them? While it is rare, the modules do short out. My personal one had a cymbal port that went bad and was covered by IONs warranty and got another via RMA.

All the pads work independantly, but when 2 are hit simultaneously, no signal is produced? 2 specific pads, or ANY w pads?

I'm not sure, I have one problem isn't simiera but could be related to this, I was played usually with my pads and cymbals, but all wingnuts and clamps become weak and some break, then I removed all cymbals but I was still all cymbals wires connected to the module, then when I was playing the plugs was fall in the floor and the module get a bad signal XD then I unplug them and work normaly, really the pads are very simple system :) only need check the module :)
