I really need help on how to calibrate my drums for Rock Band 2 on Xbox 360. I look through calibrating help articles but they keep talking about the guitar. I want help on drums. The problem is that lets say I have to hit a red note. I wait for it to get to the bottom red bar to try to hit it perfectly. But I hit it, and t gets delayed and it plays a little bit under the bar. Is there anyway to get it to hit perfectly when I hit it?

This is normal. If you know your TV experiences video lag, and you've adjusted it more than plenty of times with the same, narrow setting, you'll just have to let the game adjust you.

In other words, as long as you know you hit the note, and the game counts it, it shouldn't matter if the note explodes underneath your timing bar.

If you are trying to make the note explode right at the bar, it'd probably mean you have to set the video lag to 0 ms, and hit the note early before it meets the bar. Not very comfortable.

If you play more by ear, and less by sight. You may have better luck that way. But only if you don't have any audio lag for that matter.

IMO, you should follow former advice, as sometimes, it's necessary to play under sightread when the last notes in a big rock ending comes up.

You should probably focus on the sound more than the video. As long as the audio calibration is OK - meaning you can hit a little before or after a cymbal but dead on means its dead on with the sound - you'll be OK.

Thanks, but I know there is a way to calibrate it. I've seen people calibrate and they get it exactly when it is at the bar. The lag usually messes me up a lot. I focus on both. Sound AND Video. But they are off. I say I have to hit the kick pedal. I hit it by sound, but it misses.

No, it's not. I've played this same game at a friends house and I get the notes exactly. But my game, It's like sort of wacky. I'm a hard/ expert drummer and I can't play song if i can't get them on beat :(

Use an RB2 guitar controller to calibrate the audio/video.

Much easier and more accurate than taking the "best guess" approach and trying to do it manually with the drums.
