I liked Hybrid Theory, and I love Shinoda...

I just didn't hear great things about the new album. Impressive stats there with the singles though, obviously they still have a solid fanbase.

I think it's funny when fans of sucky bands claim those bands don't suck cuz they sold a bunch of records. But then again the charts are full of crap like Britney Spears, Creed, Soulja Boy, Nickelback, etc. etc. Popularity does not equal quality, in fact many times its the opposite. I'm not a person who's flaming or saying they suck. However, that's not a very convincing argument. Saying a band is popular dosen't mean they're automatically good at making music. Look at Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, Fall Out Boy, T-i, Soulja Boi, and it looks like someone made the same exact argument I made.

Also realize this: the majority of people buying these records, are probably retarted. Yes, I'm saying over 1/4 of this country is retarted.

Linkin Park is great if you like boy bands with guitars and tatoos. Personally, I prefer my boy bands under my boot.

I had a girlfriend who was really in to Linkin Park one time. Of course, she also liked Avril Lavigne and Sailor Moon, so I guess I can see that.

And, for those people who think Linkin Park sucks, their sitting atop the Billboard charts reinforces this thought, for many of them are people who think that the crap on Billboard is just that. Crap.

MTV has done a pretty good job killing music, as evidenced by this thread's existence. I consider this game to be, in small part, repayment for the many years they have abused my senses with their Carson Daily crap and TRL and "The Real World/ Road Rules/ Who want's to bang Tila Tequila" BS they have put me through all these many years. If reparations are to be made, this is at least a start. But, I digress.

Go to the Billboards and look at how many hit singles they've Had. Not reading the billboards, just the songs.

Now compare that to your Favorite band. and See who has better singles.

Most bands make about 2-3 singles off of one CD. Kinda sad. Linkin Park makes about 4-5 singles off of a CD.
