2+ Controllers on PS3 40GB Version?

The 40GB Version of the PS3 only comes with 2 USB ports, how do I plug in all the instruments? Do I need to buy a USB hub? How is this suggested to handle this?

I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I've done a few searches and come up short.

You should get a Usb Hub with the rockband bundle.

You need to buy a USB hub. It doesn't come with the PS3 version of the game.

That Being said, PS3 owners are getting the Shaft. 360 bundles got the Hub

Just make sure its a powered hub.

not true, I use a usb hub that I got from Radio Shack. It doesn't take a power cord, just gets power through whatever it's connected to. I need my outlets...lol! Also nice to have to bring back and forth from console to pc.

The reason why it doesn't come with a hub is because the more expensive PS3 versions have 4 ports already.

Acctually I think the x360 people got the shaft... they get a wired gituar. Than again they can use GH3 controllers...

From what I've read, any USB hub will work, but I'd make sure it's a USB 2.0 hub.

Well, I know a USB 1.1 hub doesn't work... well, at least that was only $7.99 I wasted on that attempt :)

Playstation 3 uses USB 2.0. All USB hubs need to be that. They do NOT need to be powered. I unplug mine when not in use. Saves on exsessive power draw from the USB port. Probably not necessary.
