View Full Version : DLC Errors - Clearing cache not fixing

"The song data you were accessing has become unavailable, and the game cannot proceed without it. Your game session has restarted."
This is happening to me on a at least three of my DLCs. One of which is part of a pack, so redownloading it is a pain: Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz. Also, Use Me by Hinder, and DOA by Foo Fighters. Those two are the only others involved as far as I can tell: and clearing my cache and redownloading is NOT fixing them. Normally I'd just assume DLC is bad for my XBOX, but every other song it plays just fine (including the songs Feel Good Inc. and Re-Hash by Gorillaz, which were the other two in the pack).
Before I get the above error, the song starts skipping like it was being played on an old CD Player going through a lawnmower then it freezes for a few seconds and sends me back to the character-select screen. Has anyone else experienced this? If there were error codes that were easily noticeable, I'd gladly post them. But... I see none.

Ive had some lag when playing DLC online, I thought it was just latency. My only guess would be to delete each song off your harddrive and download it again, but it seems like you've already done that, so I don't really know. I know on GTAIV with some of the downloaded content, if I'm at a friend's house playing, when I load it up it'll say "this downloadable content is not available right now" Then when I connect to the internet again, it lets me play. I don't have any of the songs you've mentioned, but maybe there's some sort of update needed? Sorry.

That's the weird thing. I've downloaded with all the updates (XBOX force-updates if you are on LIVE, which I am) and without them. Unless there is an optional one, I'm covered.
It makes no sense, really. And the whole "DLC not available" thing wouldn't be annoying if the fixes that work for every other game's DLCs worked on Rock Band DLCs. And also if I could buy a pack then download each song separately. It'd make it a whole lot easier on me.

"The song data you were accessing has become unavailable, and the game cannot proceed without it. Your game session has restarted."
That's my problem however, it all works whenever i'm online but the frustrating thing is that it happens to every song in my library except for whats on the RB2 disk any time i'm offline. And the RB1 song list just completely disappears.
And seeing as since I take my Xbox to friends and family places who don't have a internet connection, it crushes the entire experience of Rockband when the DLC content is unavailable.

Same thing man. I can't play anything offline, but I can play everything online. I normally wouldn't be angry but I spent around $50 on all of the songs.

That's the thing, clearing cache and re-dl didn't do anything. It just changed where the song would stop loading.
Did you read any of this thread?

most likely the song was removed!!!!
but here is the thing....
you might have another issue i have heard that user's are not happy with the latest microshaft xbox update because it screwed some of there downloadable content.
1. and skipping check your center ring of your game disk if it looks cracked on the center ring look close against a light then your disk is garbage.
2. another thing have you stored the game disk near speakers i.e sorround sound tv speakers anything if so you might have wiped your disk magnetic interference can wipe game disk's

same problem but all the dlc I bought before christmass works offline, just anything in the last few months. I havent left my console in for repairs and my licence is for this console. The songs work online though. My problem is I cant go wireless due to how thick the walls in this house are so if I want to play anything I bought this year I have to hog it down 3 flights of stairs and hook it up.
In essence I havent bought much content this year waiting for this to be fixed as its simply to much of a pain for me to do the above.
