View Full Version : Open Source!
Hey makers of RB,
How about allowing us to download the program that converts songs into RB. Open source projects tend to last forever. I think it would lead to more game sales.
There will be no music exchange just the program that places the bars on screen at the correct times for whatever song it is.
Then I can use my collection of mp3s and make my own RB songs. Maybe allow us to sell our programs for songs on XBL w/ of course a profit skim from u.
It's a win-win U get money and more games sold and we get our songs.
U guys can even open a music store to sell mp3s for the program.
Please sign if u think this would be a good idea and would support it. Enough people sign who knows what would happen. Thanks Lock.

I really doubt this will ever happen, and I don't think most people realize the work you need to put into a file to make a quality one. Just look at StepMania... it's just 4 arrows, but it's hard to make a quality stepfile for that.
Plus, licensing problems would really screw that idea up. In a perfect world, sure it would be kinda cool (though I wouldn't pay for any homemade files), but I really doubt this could happen.

I don't ever see this as an option.
