I have to say... Cherry Pie was actually not too bad to play, admittedly hardly the toughest song, and I Love Rock & Roll was an amazing intricate bit of work and the most fun thing in the world if you compare it to... Smoke On The pissing Water. if ever there was a song that needed banning the world over, it's now officially that one.

I love the White Stripes, but you really didn't think that one through. OF COURSE they're not going to be in the game. Since there are only two people in the band, how could they POSSIBLY play lead, bass, drums, AND sing at the same time?! Almost every one of their songs is playable live.

But to answer your question: I actually can't think of a band or song that Harmonix would be stupid enough to include. Of the 16 tracks I've seen so far, they're on the right 'track'. Plus, variety is nice, not only for gameplay, but also for a broader appeal.

I was thinking of them... but I sure as HELL wasn't starting up one of their songs purely to find out the band name...

and fragpirate... Made In Mexico did tracks for GH1 & 2, and both times stunk (In fact... one of 'em (I think the first one) had the ending of the song appealing to me for the sole fact it reminded me of the old-school Dizzy games I used to play when I was like 6 on the old Amstrad (think: SPectrum, Commodore etc). This does of course mean... they sounded like an 4bit computer game...)

Oh, and Coldplayer... you can't really exclude the classic rock... 'cause of the simple fact that without the amazing quality of those bands back then (Like Rainbow, Sabbath, GNR's etc) you'd not have had the chance to hear bands completely destroying all their hard work today. (Such as Slipknot, Korn, Limp Bizkit, SoaD to name but a few)

And whats with the Whote Stripes hate? Brilliant band. Plus I really used to hate Nirvana too (Im still not a big fan), but In Utero is a ****ing brilliant album (heavier than 90% of the "metal" you guys are suggesting) and In Bloom is a great song.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the greatest southern rock groups EVER. They're right up there with the Allman Brothers. There is no way they don't deserve a spot on Rock Band, especially since their stuff would be so fun to play.

Well, I knew that about Young, but that doesn't make Skynyrd racist. I'm pretty sure they took it as an insult as they felt they were being stereotyped as racist. ALSO, I've said this one hundred friggin' times, brandishing the Confederate flag doesn't mean you are racist. It is a symbol of pride and heritage.
