Hey everyone, I'm hoping that we'll be welcome here on the forum for the time that we're here. We're actually looking for something just a bit different...
So, here's the deal. Rock Band drummers! If you are a talented player and live in the Dallas/Fort Worth, this ad is for you!!!
Mods: this ad is being cross-posted in all three platforms. We don't discriminate :)
Good at drumming in Rock Band? How would you like to play in a real band with a very similar setup? Echelon High is an industrial rock band based in Dallas, Texas. We're looking for a stand-up drummer to add a new level of energy to our shows and recorded music.
Requirements list:
No drugs, no drama, no exceptions
Must have adequate transportation to rehearsal once a week
Be very serious, as we are dedicated to music for life
What's a stand up drummer, you might ask? Simply put, you'd play everything except the kick drum, which will be digitally sequenced to keep perfect time with our electronics. This setup allows for more freedom of movement, and you won't be hidden behind a big drum set.
If you think you have the talent, image, and drive (or know anyone who does) please let us know. We are very serious about this business of music, and the rewards are potentially beyond imagination!
You can contact us at audition@echelonhigh.com

Is there really no one interested in something beyond the console?

You're asking for quite a bit that limits who can actually respond to this.
1. Have to be a drummer. That cuts you down to 1/2 to 1/3 of the players of this game.
2. Have to be a good drummer. That limits you to less than 10% of the total players (as has been noted by the game's developers that not even 10% of the players play on expert, let alone are good at expert or have completely mastered hard), and further cut by the effect of #1.
3. Have to live in or near Dallas.
I'd be surprised if you had even 20 people that fit this description that visit these forums. I'd be interested in at least getting more information if I didn't live 1700 miles away from where it was taking place.

To be fair, I never asked for a skill level (or even a drummer-only). This setup can easily be played by anyone with good rhythm and hand-eye coordination.
Your #3 argument is moot, we are a real rock band. Therefore, our players cannot participate in live concerts via internet connection.
There are 388,000+ members on this forum, seemed like a good place to ask. :)

Yeah, just saying, to have good rhythm and coordination, and to be able to hold a steady beat, they'd have to be at least a decent drummer, and understand more than a simple rock beat I'd imagine.
And the #3 I had in my other post was because your thread is asking for people in the Dallas area, so naturally they have to live in or near Dallas to be able to participate.
I wish you luck in finding someone, but I'm just saying that the criteria you're asking for limits who can respond. I'm sure there are plenty of drummers who would like to get involved with something like this, but they may not live near Dallas (which I bet is your most limiting factor). Personally, everyone I know through Rock Band lives on/near the east or west coast, or up in Canada, which is funny because a lot of the FPS players I play with are in the Dallas area but they don't play Rock Band.

This place is simply one extra place that I can toss up a little extra promotion. There are music lovers here, obviously, so I figured why not?

Yeah, not trying to argue that you shouldn't have posted here or anything, just pointing out a potential reason for a lack of replies. I'm sure there's interest, it's just that they have to be interested, have some kind of talent (or at least be comfortable performing in front of people with their given amount of talent), and then live in the right place in order to be able to participate. That's all I meant. :)

4. Have to like industrial music.
5. Have the time and motivation to devote to a project like this.
I wish you the best of luck too, but yeah, I agree that the slim number of replies isn't all that surprising.
