I know alot of you might not know who The Roots are but they have some pretty good instumental songs for a Rap group IMHO alot better then the Beastie Boys. Feel free to look up the following.

1 I Dont Care

2. Stay Cool

3. Duck Down

4. The Seed 2.0

5. Rock You

6. Thought @ Work

7. Silent Treatment

8. Do You want more

9. The Next Movement

Brilliant idea.

If I can liken myself to ?uestlove in any way, I'm all for it.

Kudos.

Next Movement should be in here for sure. I bet you that the Roots play Rock Band too.

I really hope they look into this. Im not a fan of rock music, but my wife likes it so I play the game. Would love the Seed 2.0 on there, I think it would work perfect with the game. Wouldnt mind seeing some Fort Minor (red to black) either.

I actually registered pretty much JUST to make this thread, but since it's already been created, I'll echo the sentiments of a Roots DLC being completely necessary.

The only issue is that many songs by The Roots don't strictly contain Guitar + Bass + Vocals + Drums. Many contain keyboard/sample elements as the main melody. ("Game Theory", "The Next Movement", etc.)

That said, "The Seed (2.0)" would be great for Rock Band. "Long Time (ft. Peedi Crakk)" would be a nice addition, as would "Here I Come", which has one of the more pronounced electric guitar melodies on the Game Theory album, and is an excellent song by all means.

Honestly, grab me any three songs out of The Roots catalog that have all the necessary elements, and I'll be happy.

This is probably one of the best ideas for DLC I've seen on this forum yet. Absolute kudos to the thread creator for posting it up, and Harmonix... make it so!

Great suggestions, thatd make a very good 3 song set to download.
