Thats awesome!!! I saw a video of someone hacking Mirror Mirror from Blind Guardian into the game! It was brutal.

They could really do justice to the new guitar controller putting Dream Theater in.

Never really understood the hype with Dream Theater, not knocking anyone for liking it, everyone to their own and all that (and it's not like you're fans of The Spice Girls or something... at least I hope you're not, lol, 'cause that WOULD be 'cause for everyone to stab you with rusty forks), but I just never really got what was great about 'em, don't get me wrong, they're not a bad band... but I always felt there were similar bands that did it better (Rhapsody & Blind Guardian to name my two favourites).

Trust me, I used to be a blind guardian song, though I have never heard of Rhapsody.

Dream theater is just better in every way. (no offence blind guardian fans)

mike portnoy is one of the greatest drummers of all time. (in drummer hall of fame)
The vocals are really really good.
Bass and guitar are amazing as well.

The biggest difference is that they are like progressive metal. They know how to build up a song. I did not like them at first either but after maybe 10 to 20 listens I was like wow.

(PS get Smoke a bowl and listen to one of there 24 minute songs like change of seasons)

Well, actually, to compare something to Dream Theater, you'd do better to compare em to Symphony X rather than Rhapsody or Blind Guardian. Their sound is light years apart.

As for Blind Guardian, Ive been resenting people labeling them as progressive, when I dont really hear progressive in them. They just play a more symphonic version of their usual power/speed/folk.

By the way, I dont acknowledge the existence of Twist in the Myth and Night at the Opera, so Im refering to the last good BG album, Nightfall...

Cuz Twist in the Myth has too much hard rock for my tastes.

Honestly, most Ive heard of Dream Theater is a couple songs from Train of thought, their instrumental from Awake, and Scenes from a Memory, which I find to be amazing. Just listening to the guitars and keyboards...its a great alternative when Ive listenened to power metal too much lol

And progRocker, Im not from the states, so Im not the guy you know haha Blind Guardian just makes me want to grab a sword and do me some orc slaying!

I listened to the song, and I really liked it. It sounds and looks fun to play. What genre is Dream Theater?

Personally, I would prefer some Liquid Tension, but there is no way any of these bands are gunna be in the game because you would have to be a FREAK to survive a song on any instrument.

There are some DT songs that could be doable. Pull Me Under isnt THAT awful for guitar, I'm not sure about drums but I'd assume they're pretty nasty.

Most of the stuff off of Scenes from a Memory, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, or Train of Thought are impossible though. That stuff is waaaaaay too fast, and the vocals aren't easy either. The Spirit Carries On would be possible, but Home and Fatal Tragedy...not so much.

It'd be nice to see some of their "easier" songs come into play though...DT is an incredible band.

Well dream theater or liquid tension would fall into one of those categories.

For the average human being they would be really fun on just hard difficulty.

Youll have to play something like "I walk beside you" or a slow song ... or else you will die playing it :P

since there is only one pedal the double base drum notes could be cut in half. They would still play you would just have to play half of them.

I'd really like to see some dream theater, though for some reason its hard for me to imagine it getting into this game. The one way I could see, is if it was extra downloadable or a bonus song. I for one would love that either way though.

I dont think theres even one pedal drum on the drum set controller, so thats not an issue really.
