When I turn my xbox on the guitar controller light blinks like it does when you need to connect a controller to a new x-box. Can someone help me?

The Xbox ring light is broken down into 4 quadrants, let's call them 1,2,3,4 around the circle. I'm assuming you're trying to connect a wireless device, if not there's there's something wrong.
If the lights flash 1 and 3, 2 and 4, 1 and 3, 2 and 4, it means you are low on batteries.
If the lights flash 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 then the controller is trying to sync with the console. There is a sync button on both the controller and the console. Press and hold each (doesn't have to be at the same time) until the lights "circle" around. The circle-running lights indicate that the controller and/or console are in "pairing mode" and will attempt to sync the controller to that console.

The controller is not wireless and does not have a sync button, or at least a sync button I can find.
