Funny thing... I know of a gal who's parents apparently beat the **** out of her... (Note: I know her personally, not just "random chick online"), now... she's 13, so I figure... I'll do what any good samaritan does when they find out that in the middle of winter that said kid's Dad has turned a freezing cold hose on her, punched her in the face, and smashed up all of her CD's... I called the cops.

Now, according to this gal, she's ALWAYS having full blown fist fights with her Mum (and her Mum was even talking to me about this), and that her Dad hits her (and again, her Mum not only was stood there while I was being told this, but was adding to the information about it herself, 'cause he attacks her too).

'course, cops come... and all they do is take away the PC and Phone for investigation into... ME!

Nothing ever came of it... and everything settled down on my end (tho' the last time she spoke to me, she was telling me never to speak to her again, as it was my fault her Mum was hitting her again, as her mum blamed her for me calling the cops... never dawned on her that her Mum was doing that BEFORE I called 'em anyway, this just gave her "a reason" to do it again... as though she wouldn't have anyway).

Anyway, to round the story up... she was also your typical MCR fan... blatantly emo-goth (and would outright DENY she was a goth... despite only ever wearing black, having purple hair, and red fingernails), and she often had scars on her arms where she had cut herself...

So I'm basically saying... Goth/Emo kids are a damned nusaunce... and can we please get a law allowing us to shoot the lot of 'em? :D.

are you standing up for emo kids by saying that their problems are real and nothing to make fun of... orrr just using your real life experience as an example of just how much you hate emo kids (angle being, you saw all that and she was still so annoying that insted of pity you felt compelled to shoot her.)


either way, if you have real problems then yeah thats all good and fine to be depressed, but problem is is that most emo kids are just stupid little teenagers who are attention hungry and self absorbed thinking that their problems (such as their ice cream meltin) is monumentally worse than others.

It was kind of a bit of both, initially... I felt for the gal, she was actually friendly when she wasn't being all emo and such... kinda cool to chat to (Used to have to catch the same bus home as she refused to catch the school bus home 'cause of the kids on it, so I ended up chatting with her on the bus and such).

However, on giving her every opportunity to sort her life out, she didn't tell the cops what was actually going on, made zero attempt to get away from there... and so it all came across that either she was a complete idiot and deserved the treatment she got because she was more interested in the whole "pity me" thing she had going on... or she was lying about it (and her Mum was backing her up) all along.

The fact she then attacked me, saying it was my fault her Mum had started hitting her (SIX months after the cops had been called no less... and after they'd stopped investigating about a month prior...), just made me realize that they're just a huge waste of space, and not even worth bothering with.

I myself suffer from severe depression, but unless I'm seriously down, I do everything I can not to drag others in... yeah I have a couple of people I go to, so I can vent about stuff, but they're called your closest friends normally. 99% of the time I'll be happy and lively, even when depressed... 'cause if I force out happiness, then I end up being happy (Only difference is at work lately... lol)

First of all. Not 1 time in these forums have I saw someone say "Oh i'm gonna be the best at rock band!" You sound like a little kid.

Think ye'll find that even more like other styles of rock and what-not... in fact, we're currently in the worst period for music sales than we've been for years... and before anyone blames that on downloads... I point you to the fact people used to buy the tape, and half a dozen blanks with their friends, and just copy 'em between themselves.

Downloading makes no difference, as if the bands good, people who care about the band enough will go buy it... those who don't, would've ignored it completely if it wasn't available for download.

As such... MCR are doing pretty damned poor for themselves compared to the oldschool rock. They're doing even worse when you consider that they needed some actual airplay time to hit the charts in the UK, while Within Temptation never once got an official UK release, and yet still got into the top 40 solely through downloads and requests for airplay. Something MCR aren't going to be doing in their lifetime.

I said earlier I suffer from depression... and when I was looking for work about two years ago, I was told by the Job Centre (basically a place that gives us money while we're out of work but helps us find work too, and if you don't make an effort, they stop giving you cash, apparently, lol), that by refusing to take tablets for my depression, (working in a factory type of enviornment makes me depressed for some reason...) I was refusing treatment that would help me get into work.

It was only when I told her that I could always sue them if they tried booting me off 'cause it was affecting my own morals... that being that I REFUSE to take drugs for anything (In fact, I'm only taking hayfever tablets now 'cause I'll never be getting up in the mornings otherwise 'cause I'm that crappy at the moment). Even migraine tablets I wont take unless desperate... the simple reason being that I'd rather know the pain was there and deal with it myself when I can, than rush for pain killers and such constantly... too many wrestlers die from getting hooked on pain killers, I have never intended to follow in their footsteps in that direction.

Gal I was talking about earlier is actually the daughter of a guy who owns his own company... at age 13 has parents who let her stay out until the last bus (okay, that's only 6pm here... but if there was a later one, I bet she'd be fine with it), and what's more... parents who will let her stay off school if she has a doctor's appointment early in the morning/late in the afternoon... in general, she has it better than I ever did...

Actually... it's more along the lines of CM Punk has changed the whole meaning behind it... now people who just don't drink/take drugs etc. use it to describe themselves... and as far as I know, it was never created for that... it's just become something that people use to make themselves seem "cool". In the whole "Hey, I'm straightedge... so no, I don't want a drink!" sense.

I mean... I don't touch drink, I don't take drugs, and I've not had sex for 18 months (tho' that last one is NOT by choice, lol), that doesn't make me straight edge... it makes me a guy who made a decision, and chose to stick to it...

However the general term now seems to be that people can be straight edge... then "stop" being straight edge... and then decide they're going to be again... it's moronic. haha, yep, there was this one kid that i used to hang out with but he started getting on my nerves. he got more and more emo and i got more and more into metal, and if you know metal then you know that you dont sit around and listen to lil **** heads talk bout their ***** ass problems. you kick ass and get over it.
so he pissed me off one day and i sorta snapped on him. he tryed swingin on me but actually missed! and i hooked him in his jaw and he ran home litterally crying.
now at school he completely avoids me.

I do have a weird life, lol, got plenty of nutty stories that I've heard or been involved in (Whether intentional or otherwise), even stuff not so nutty that's still ****ed up (Currently being shoved out of my current job by my bosses, and the rest of us can only assume it's so that another guy we've got working there (from the open prison nearby no less) can work more hours, 'cause they don't have enough to go round...)

As for the drinking and stuff, just in case anyone got the wrong idea, I've got zero problems with those who drink, in fact I'm more than happy to head out with a few people who do have a couple as long as they're the type who know when to say when.

I know, however, that not only do I dislike the taste of it, but I'm not that great at holding my alcohol, and thus I'm out of it completely on one pint... as such, "when" for me, is before I start, lol.

Drug wise... it's purely because I see way too many people who do drugs (Both people I look up to in wrestling, and those I've known personally), and even if they only intended to start light, they move up them easily once they do something light, and then get hooked on stuff heavier.

People hate emo because the people who follow it are very annoying. They listen to bad music (Pop Punk+Nu Metal), they look stupid, they mope around and be annoying, they pretend they've been through a lot even though they live in privileged lifestyles. Although I hate when people get mad when someone fortunate or very fortunate gets mad, and they say "omg luk at all teh peeple in tewh devloewping contries omg !!!!!!!!!!!!11" emos take it too far. It also encourages them to be sad and mope for very long periods of time. They are also ruining the genre of punk, and the genre of Rock which pisses punk, and rock fans off. The cutting they do when they mope releases beta endorphines though. They put themselves in a purposely bad mood, and do this. They shouldn't be in such a bad mood. Most of them are not actually depressed.

I see emo as the behaviour of it's fans, and their lifestyle. They usually listen to Pop Punk. Emo used to be a subgenre of music from Hardcore Punk. I hate how Post Punk and New Wave died, but Hardcore flourished. Maybe after this popularity it will be killed once and for all.

is emo music? or is emo fashion? its certainly not both... i love My Chemical Romance, i like some of the Used, as well as Fall Out Boy and i would buy EVERYTHING from them for DLC... i also know a lot of people i play with would love songs from both of these bands. i'm not 13, i'm actually closer to 30. I don't have purple hair. i don't wear eyeliner. i don't wear all black. i work two jobs, and go to school. Most of the people i play with are in their mid to late 20s as well, none fit this profile that you have made. i would love avenged sevenfold on the game also... alot of people think they're like gnr. are they emo? i just think all you people don't like their style more than you don't like their music. its like you see "emo" and want to come in here and pick on those young kids who wear eyeliner because maybe you feel they are easy to pick on. if thats the case then you guys are just a bunch of stereotypical bullies. you're not gonna get anyones lunch money in these forums... so bug off...
