We've had lots of friends and neighbors come over and play and while they all love the game and we all love the game, we really don't like the hard heavy metal music chosen for the game.
Please come up with a variety of Pop hits, classic rock and soft rock to add to the game. It will appeal to a much broader audience than what you have. A lot of the current music sounds like noise.
You picked a lot of great artists, but then chose some of their least known songs. For instance David Bowie - What about Fame, Pressure and Modern Love? Songs that have topped the charts so people are familiar with them?
How about the Eagles?
Journey?
AC/DC?
Tons of great songs and artists that aren't available. Please give us more variety and more HIT songs that we are familiar with...

That's all well and good picking songs everyone knows about, chart toppers and all that, but the appeal to a lot of the 'heavy metal' songs and others that people haven't heard of is that it introduces you to new bands.
Those bands, in turn, will usually end up getting more attention and public notice, for better or for worse. A lot of my friends didn't know about Motley Crue, David Bowie, Cream, Lamb of God, etc before playing rhythm games like this and Guitar Hero.
There's nothing wrong with choosing the #1 hits or whatever for people's songs, but what's wrong with picking some songs that people may have overlooked? It's nice to broaden one's musical horizons, even for an artist you may know who did that one radio anthem that you've already heard a thousand times.
And as for 'heavy metal' and the like, I think the game needs more of it. The game needs more old songs too. It just needs more of everything. I don't particularly care for 90's rock, but those songs are generally enjoyable to play along with, and I think the game could even use more of those.
Enough nay-saying of metal, or old rock, or whatever people bash. We should just be wanting more of it all. Then everyone wins.

i dont understand, you ask for less "hard heavy metal" then ask for ac/dc
there not much "hard heavy metal" to begin with
how are those bowie songs obscure, i dont quite get your point everyone ive played with couldnt wait to try there hand at moonage daydream.
your suggestions are good but there are a good variety of songs.
and dont be afraid to open your mind a bit just because the radio tells you what a hit song is does not mean an artist is not capable of having more good songs
