Yeah, it's the GDI logo. Couldn't find a good one from Tiberian Sun, and I don't like the one from Tiberium Wars as much.

P.S. I think they can only find out approximately what city you live in. If they're s00p4r 1337, they can probably steal all your fyulz, but that's not likely.

Well, I dont know too much about programming and hacking, but I'm pretty sure if they're "evil" enough to want to, they could actually hack into your entire computer. Because your IP address is basically your own code for your internet access. And if they know where your internet is coming from, they can get into your computer. Basically see all your files, your folders, everything. They could send viruses, delete all your stuff, endless things they could do.

My suggestion, find a way to get a new IP address ASAP. I know it's possible. Sorry, I dont remember how, but somewhere in your internet connection panel, you can click "Repair" and it gets you a new IP address.

They could bust him up if he doesn't have a router or a firewall. If he has a router hes safe. Firewalls are... hackable but not unless you know what youre doing, and you'd have to download a file or two first.

If your IP address isn't static (i.e. it's the same every time), the fastest way to get a new IP address is to unplug the cable and plug it back in.

Does your computer have just a modem, or does it have a router too.. if you have a router, youre fine. It's essentially a physical firewall.

You have a router.. youre fine. Nobody can connect to your computer if you have a router unless they know which ports are open. And there are tens of thousands of ports.. not many open :p

I am a bit miffed that he has made this post and is effectively saying he doesn't trust me after I was trying to help him. But I wont make that mistake again.

Emo you gave me your interal IP, not your External IP. All 192.168.xxx.xxx addresses are non routable, so have no use outside your house.

lol... he's just a youngin. I used to think that if someone had my IP that they could do whatever they wanted. He came into the chat room and asked 50 times if he was safe, no matter how many times i said yes he wouldn't believe me :p
