I'm a huge fan of KoRn myself, but I dunno how easy it would be to get a song of theirs in Rock Band. As much as I wish it could happen the problem is that Fieldy from KoRn doesn't strum most songs, he plays slap-bass. Then again, there's those few songs like Blind or, Alone I Break, that don't include him playing slap-bass that hopefully they'll consider putting in the game. I like the idea. =)

1: Just because you don't like KoRn doesn't mean anything, this game seems pretty much community driven so far.

2: I grew up on KoRn, they kick ass...until they lost HEAD (****).

3: I would be very impressed to find someone who could actually vocalize their voice like J.D can do, he is awesome.

4: I would love to play KoRn in Rock Band, and there are WAY more people that would rather play it then complain about such as you did.

korn is one of the few decent bands left... and I'm sorry but they're a hell of a lot more mainstream than a lot of the stuff I saw in the guitar hero games... whether you want to believe it or not... these days, korn is way more mainstream than pretty much anything in GH games... again, you have to realize that a good portion of the people who will be buying rock band are teens between the ages of 14 and 18.... many of those people are korn fans... korn alone obviously isn't going to sell the game... but it could add at least a couple thousand extra sells to korn fans...
of course, no one can say anything about this game for sure... afterall, it hasn't come out yet...

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Fieldy is my hero. It's so awesome to watch him play. I've been to pretty much everything they've toured on...even a couple of the special events, and I never tire of watching Fieldy. Such a bad arse!

Even Within Temptation got into the UK chart and they've NEVER released a single here officially.

Again, I'm not stating that they're crap (Tho' I admit they're pretty poor in my eyes), and yeah, they MAY be bigger than a handful of bands in GH, but by the same token... Rock Band is likely to be even bigger, and will likely have more known bands (I've heard they want a huge list of rock spanning the decades).

Again, it's not the type of rock that will work for the initial game, however if they wise to release it for DLC, then fine, go for it.

Regarding DLC tho'... I have a huge feeling that certain bands that have a possibility of getting a lot of buys, but they're not sure about, will have one or two songs up for DLC before an entire album goes up, although some bands (Say... Ozzy, Maiden, Metallica, Who) will be given a shot instantly. That way, if nobody buys the single songs, (Well, a small amount only anyway), they wont bother with a full album, yet if people go nuts over them, they'll possibily release a full album.

So if they release a song or two on DLC by Korn... mebbe we'll find out if people DO want 'em if a follow up album is made... lol. That'd solve any bickering.

Like I said before... I've heard two songs I can listen to by them... Shoots and Ladders (the name annoys me because of the whole American "Shoots and Ladders" thing... it's sodding Snakes and Ladders!), and the intro of Blind.

Other than that... they're just bland, with no redeeming qualities.

But that's my opinion, and you're entitled to your own... they are, however, still better than MCR...

Jon davis said one of his songs sounded like the cheers intro in an interview. Ben responded with that review of nu-metal mallcore crap. I found it to be hilarious. I really like where he makes fun of how all the songs from nu-metal bands have the same composition closing with the stupid gradually rising repeating vocals at the end.

There are other bands that get ZERO local radio play (pick up a few things here and there on Squizz) and love the holy hell out of them. Music isn't a popularity contest, well, for me anyway. So, I'll close that little door there. I like anything that gets the ole juices flowing. And you can probably tell from my profile I'm not a teenie bopper either! ;)

That lip synching thing is out of the question. Only pop celebrities do that.

I do like the first Korn album (until the end when he starts ****IN CRYING!!!) and I thought it sounded pretty nice. Of course, I was an idiot at the time thinking Nirvana was the greatest thing ever. (It was cool, but come on, I only went by what VH1 used to tell me. Thank Rob Halford for the internet).

I dont like it when people defend themselves with liking bands that get no radio play. Sure, radio is not a place to look for quality outside whats just ordinary, but sometimes, especially listening to these indie alternative, crap bands, I cant help myself but think "Of course they cant get on the radio. They suck".

Besides, what goes on radio is also dictated by chance. Whatever people will be into at said period of time, that goes on. So in the long run, it depends of how crazy people are in their normal lives what dictates what music is gonna be prevalent. Why is hip hop and pop music all you can hear in TV or radio? Because in this on the go world, active listening to music, or having music be really important in your life, just doesnt matter. No art matters. What matters is just get on with my job, and wait for death to release us from monotony and leading mediocre lives. We are world of sheep.

Nope, I have musical taste, and even if you like the same bands as me, the fact you like Korn cancels it all out. You probably like Trivium - that just means ur not human and just plain stupid.

As for the comment on saying I like stuff that doesn't get radio play, if you go a few posts up, that's why I said it. And not everything, as you say, that doesn't get airplay is crap. I avoid local radio like the plague. Same ole same ole every hour. Variety is nice, so XM is the route for me. All kinds of "non-commercial" airplay there. Anyway, I'm done arguing here. Therefore, I can pretty much guarentee you that the majority of the players will not be wanting Korn on the initial set list. Try backing up the band all you want... but admit that not EVERY band you like is suited to the game. It needs the wider appeal, Korn does not have it.

You obviously haven't had your hand on a good Ibanez bass then. Yes Ibanez may not be the best but when it comes to basses, they are near the top of the list. I don't know about guitars.

My Ibanez SRX 500 had more punch, more bottom end than just about any bass I've laid hands on. My top choice would be a Warwick Thumb Bolt-on, but I'm not going to spend a couple grand.

Ive played Ibanez bassists and they're just a bit.. basic. They sound like so many others. SG Bass is fantastic - though I'd love to have a go on some of Fender's basses but I spent all my money on the SG Bass...

It was also a bonus track, and they were in the first one, and managed to be in the second game despite a wide bunch of people saying it was crap, which leads me to believe that they're being allowed in the game for reasons other than musical talent (i.e. could be friends of someone).

As for that Trivium song... some of the guitar wasn't "bad", I could listen to that... but someone shoot that frontman.

It's like some pop songs really... sometimes it'll have a good tune, but the singing annihilates anything that the music has done to make it even partially good.

if it was Korn from the first album I would definately buy it. Depends on the song from alot of the other albums though. I don't like their newer stuff though.

I have seen Korn live 4 times and by far the best show was The Family Values Tour 98.
