View Full Version : Advancing in World Tour

I just bought Rock Band yesterday, and I have to say, it's a very fun game. My brother and I started a band in World Tour (he does the guitar, I drum). We were doing very well, until it told us we need to advance difficulty to get more fans! My brother and I both play on Medium, but we are not at the stage where we can advance both to Hard. I'm still not a master on the drums on Medium, let alone Hard! The only one of us who can do anything on Hard is me on the guitar, but that leaves out my brother! Any solutions?
And also... how does singing really work? My older brother, who is a skilled singer, tried Hard with singing (to try to do something for our band) and he could only make it through halfway Welcome Home, a song he knows well, even with me saving him. Any solutions?

unfortunately the fan cap is gunna stay that way for now it seems, there are threads everywhere with requests to remove it. all you can do is either ignore it and just play anyway, or find a way to crawl through hard.
as for singing, as far as i can tell it just judges your pitch. i use flatter notes and it tends to be easier for me, others have had success with mic sensitivity adjusments. it will come with practice.

Search for "fan cap".
FWIW, apparently you can complete BWT in medium, but there's some places you can't get in to. So don't let it stop you from continuing in BWT on medium, just because you can't play certain places.

okay.. heres some even more questions. i thought to beat world tour, you just had to beat a final place or something. but how do you actually beat it if its not that?

As I understand it, there's an "Endless Setlist" you have to beat, then you get in the Hall of Fame, and that's considered beating it. Apparently the Endless Setlist has all the non-DLC songs, and you have to play all of them in one sitting. Or so I've read.

Nah, I have made it into the hall of fame before playing the endless setlist on medium. I sing and play bass/drums at the same time.

Hall of Fame Induction requires 450 stars to open (it's a 8 song set from memory). The Endless Setlist requires 600 stars and includes every out of the box song in the game I believe (excluding the bonus tour?).
The fan cap has no impact on advancing through the game. I think it's there to give advanced players something to achieve on the leaderboards. The measure of your score is effectively the stars.
Still, this doesn't stop half of the known universe whining to remove the fan cap.

The Endless Setlist includes the bonus tour as well. 58 songs.

It takes about 4 hours. Do it right after breakfast, or right after lunch.
