Microphone usage question

yo i was wondering is i can use the ps3 mic as a ps3 headset in games like Call Of Duty 4 and stuff. Please help

Well, I actually have a 360. But I know that in order to talk to other people on XBox Live with the mic, you have to hold down the left trigger. I would assume it is the same for PS3. As with whether you can use it in COD4, I wouldn't know, I haven't tried it. Why don't you?
